Clutha Gold – Goeff Perry
Nice autumn shot here of the Clutha River. You’ve caught the colours in the trees well and you’ve used a slow shutter speed to add interest. Good depth of field with the foreground river bank pebbles well exposed and sharp as is the middle ground. Lacks a bit of punch which I’m guessing is due to no cooking in post process. You get to see so many cooked images these days that ones without that processing step, while more true, are a bit of a disconnect with the modern landscape genre. I’m not being negative here as I like the image. Exposure and contract could have been pushed a bit more without being overkill.
