Thar hunter dazzler pinnacles – Hopkins Valley – Brent Hollow
Great image and you’ve taken a chance in placing a distraction (the hunter) into the scene and this works well as it adds to the story which looks as though it’s been taken many years ago (with the treatment). What detracts from this beautiful mountainscape is the vignette, which job is to hone in and highlight a subject and subconsiously get the viewer to exclude what is vignetted. However, you’ve closed off on the beautiful scenery as though you aren’t interested in it with the focal point being the hunter. I want to see the rocks and the vastness of that wild uninhabited area, I want to get a sense of place and see the contrast of rocks and sand.
