Flower centres are intriguing with their beautiful colours and fascinating shapes; this photographer has captured a beautiful Dahlia. The colourful centre of the flower encircled by the red petals is placed in the centre of the frame and that does give balance to the image. Notice though that this pleasant arrangement has obtrusive parts of the background in both the bottom and top left hand corners, these could be easily removed by simply reframing the image. Also, it is essential when taking your photo to check that the exposure is correct, by reviewing it in camera or in your editing software. This photo is 1 stop underexposed so as a result it appears quite dark and much important detail is lost in that interesting flower.
