October 2013 (Abstract)
Sorry to Leone Ward and her merit for the open file "nature's palette" but your image would not upload into the gallery???
Camellia Rebecca Campbell Novice
A beautifully sharp image that truly records the beauty of the camellia. When we are taking flowers we need to try and add something of ourselves to Nature’s beauty. Rather than just shooting straight on at the flower dead centre, try placing the centre of the flower on a third this gives you better composition and will give you some negative space on two sides of the image.. Also, try shooting sideways at the flower , this will give you the stamens standing up to give you a 3D look You shoot from underneath giving you backlit blooms. There are many ways you can try to get something different into you work. Take the same flower several different ways. This will make it stand out from just a straight on shot. MERIT
