Perhaps having heard the discussion about the rule of thirds you think it has to apply ALL the time but here NO because it gives you heaps of white space to the left. If you are thinking you need to break that rule look at the final image and see if it looks a bit odd. Hint. Portrait oriented shots like this one are easier to get away with out the rule of thirds. You could also probably crop a bit off the top as I've done here but the top as photographed does stop the image disappearing out of the top of frame.. MERIT.
